Traditional Irish Music, Dingle Sessions, Poetry
02 March 2010
Great Session!
Great session at Marina Inn on Sunday. It was lead by Con Durham on pipes and Tommy O'Sullivan on guitar. We had 14 musicians which is very unusual at this time of year(4 fiddles, 3 flutes, uillean pipes, guitar, banjo, mandolin, bodhran, accordion and harmonica.) The music was first rate and the momentum was amazing.

Understandably your article helped me terribly much in my college assignment. Hats high to you post, will look audacious for the duration of more related articles in a jiffy as its one of my favourite issue to read.
Hello there!
My family will be visiting Dingle at the end of the June/early July. We are American, with family roots in Dingle. It would be wonderful to hear some folk music while there, do you know of any events during those dates? Your suggestions would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Madeline
Finbarr:
Hi there! Im not really sure but I think we met at O`Flaherthy´s in 2004. I am argentinian (my Irish roots can be traced back to Buttevant/Liscarroll) and I play in a couple of sessiond there. ¿Do you play concertina and armónicas? I was playin mandolin and now I added banjo and flute to my instruments, (also an accordion in C/G, very diffult to play)I was in Ireland back in 2007 with other argentinian musicians but, sadly, we can´t reach Dingle. Im trying to contact with all of you for I lernt a lot and spent a very good times there. Hope you remember me
Dear Finbarr,
This is a great blog! We are visiting Dingle later this year; it's great to read about the various sessions and have an idea of where to go. Maybe meet you at one of the sessions?
Best wishes,
